My name is Brian Burns. I’m a fulltime freelance copywriter living and working in Boulder, CO. I have my own style — it’s a cross between being professional and solid, sure, but also being casual and conversational. In other words, I strive to write well, but also write like I’d talk. Easily. Directly to the reader.

It’s no surprise then that my interest, both professionally and personally, lies in communication and engagement. On a daily basis, through the proper organization of written words, I turn that into a job. I help companies figure out who they are, I help them communicate who they are, and I help them build a community around who they are. I help them write better stuff, and become better companies. While copywriting is my profession though, and is the medium through which I pursue my passion for communication, that’s not where it ends. Rather, I’m just as much drawn to blogging, to new media, to entrepreneurship, and to startup culture as a whole.

This blog follows that passion, both in how it manifests professionally and how it manifests personally. Most of the time, that means I talk about copywriting. Other times though, that means I talk about other mediums, other companies, or just about communication and engagement in general. In other words, I write about anything that catches my mind, as long as it revolves around the general theme, and as long as I think you (the reader) will enjoy it.
